The ISM Group are recruiting for a \'WBS Houlden Fellow\' post for the next academic year (2023/24). The position is fixed term for a period of 24 months.
The ISM group comprises individuals who focus on cutting-edge research around core and emerging IS research phenomena, transcending traditional disciplinary and methodological boundaries. Research in ISM Group covers three interrelated research themes: 1) Digital innovation, transformation and entrepreneurship (platform ecosystems, digital value creation, open innovation and crowdsourcing, digital business strategy, algorithmic decision-making and future on work, and cross-boundary collaboration); 2) Financial technology (FinTech) and artificial intelligence (AI) (blockchain, cryptocurrencies, AI and machine learning, crowd-based microfinance, cloud computing, and cyber security); and 3) Data Science and its Applications (predictive and prescriptive analytics, health informatics, social media and online communities, digital marketing and sharing economy, and Internet of Things (IoT)).

The postholder will divide their time between three areas of activity: (1) progressing their own research agenda; (2) supporting current WBS research activity and (3) gaining valuable teaching experience. All Houlden Fellows will benefit from the mentoring of a Professorial colleague, to help them develop their academic careers, over the two-year period and have their own budget for research and travel.
Preference may be given to candidates that will complement the existing strengths in the School; and bridge between existing areas of expertise in the School.
