Job Description

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a long established family firm for an experienced Horticultural Service Technician.

My client is a family-owned firm that supplies a wide range of machinery; from garden mowers and chainsaws to combine harvesters and construction excavators as well as selling a huge selection of clothing, footwear, garden sundries and DIY products across 19 country stores.

Role Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, your role will be to repair and maintain all equipment associated with Groundcare machinery (both professional and domestic) that is sold by the company\xe2\x80\x99s sales department.

Essential Skills/Experience:

v Good knowledge of Utility and/or Garden machinery or small Agricultural machinery

v Knowledge of both Domestic and Professional Grass Machinery

v Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults

v Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone

v Has the ability to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team

v Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area within the workshop

v Clean and tidy general appearance

v Maintain a good general level of health and fitness

v Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role

v Full clean driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

START DATE:

Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period

HOURS:

39 hours per week \xe2\x80\x93 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1 hour unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs Monday to Friday

SALARY:

\xc2\xa3Competitive, depending on experience plus company vehicle (if mobile Technician)
