Horticultural Sales Manager
Job Description
Landford Trees is a commercial tree nursery producing both field grown and containerised trees and shrubs. Established in 1987 and sited on the northern edge of the New Forest we grow over 600 varieties of both bareroot and containerised high-quality trees for supply to both the wholesale and retail market.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Horticultural Sales Manager to join our organisation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture, have a passion for Trees, help lead and motivate a dedicated team.
Duties
Sales quotes for retail and trade customers. Be able to deliver appropriate strategies to improve sales. Responsible for the ordering of products as per seasonal requirements and liaising with suppliers. APHA liaison person. Working in conjunction with the Production Team. Maintaining customer relationships. Focussed on providing a great customer experience. Supporting the existing Management team to achieve strong and effective working relationships.
Experience
Proven managerial experience in retail operations and commercial processes. Strong Horticultural knowledge. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire. Proficient in using CRM systems. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills to liaise with team members. Committed and hardworking you will be driven to exceed sales and increase profitability, whilst supporting other departments in striving for the overall success of the business.
