Job Description
Elevation Recruitment Group\'s Machining and Fabrication division have a new role available for a Horizontal Milling Machinist to join a well-established heavy industry machine shop based in the Sheffield area. The business machines heavy castings for a number of industries including mining and oil & gas.
The successful Horizontal Borer will report directly into the Machine Shop Manager and will be responsible for;
- Working from technical drawings and completing jobs in full and on time
- Machining heavy castings
- Adherence to health & safety standards
- Responsible for own workflow and machinery
- Strong emphasis on quality
- To work under own initiative with minimal supervision
Days and Nights
Monday - Thursday 06.00am - 4.00pm
Monday - Thursday 04.30pm - 02.30am
Overtime is regularly available and is paid at a premium rate.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Excellent attitude to work
- Working from technical drawings and completing jobs in full and on time
- Experience of working in a heavy industry machine shop environment
- Experience of working under minimal supervision
- Great communication and teamwork skills
