The Homeland Security Group (HSG) unites capabilities and expertise to deliver better outcomes from the UK\xe2\x80\x99s response to the most serious domestic threats \xe2\x80\x93 Terrorism, Cyber, State Threats and Economic Crime. The group will strengthen coordination and collective focus across a range of growing and overlapping threats, whilst remaining consistent with existing strategies. Working with partners, HSG will foster more transparent and sustainable collaboration between national security, law enforcement and other relevant communities to enhance capabilities and leverage our response to threats. As a part of the Home Office, the role of the Homeland Security Group is to:

Job description
We are recruiting a Senior Executive Officer (SEO) Benefits Manager, to play a key role in supporting the delivery of programmes within the Benefits Management Team for the Economic Crime Reform and Delivery Unit, Economic Crime Directorate (Homeland Security Group), aligning to departmental priorities at the Home Office. As a Benefits Manager, you will work closely with the programme and project managers in the portfolio on the delivery of existing, and setting up of new, programmes including Suspicious Activity Reports Programme (SARs), Fraud Reform Programme (FRP) and Anti-Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Programme (AMLAR), covering a diverse range of activities to support its objectives and delivery. Through the operation of project management processes, and coordinating business management actions on their behalf, you will enable the smooth running of the programmes and projects. These can be complex and politically sensitive, large scale and with a significant number of partners and stakeholders (internal, across government and private sector) and a number of project resources. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estates capacity, by Spring 2024. Person specification
The primary responsibilities of the post holder will be to:
Engage programme and business group stakeholders around benefits realisation planning, ensuring realisation plans are translated consistently into operational delivery plans, as outlined in the Strategy.
Build constructive relationships with all programmes and impacted business groups, providing guidance, support, and challenge to ensure quality and consistency of realisation plans.
Monitor and analyse benefits planning information, reporting progress, slippage and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.
Tracking of quantified realised benefits in the departments wider financial and performance metrics both during mid-programme releases and post programme completion.
Work with programmes and impacted business groups to assure in-year accounting for actual programme benefits that have been realised in business groups.
Maintain the audit trail of assured realised benefits for reporting and audit purposes.
Support the Grade 7 Lead with slide packs appropriate for the consumer group.
You will have:
Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement skills to establish and develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience using different channels for different audiences.
Excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills, and an advocate of identifying commonalities, lessons to be learnt and sharing best practices.
