Job Summary:
The Domiciliary Care Office Assistant supports the daily administrative operations of a domiciliary care agency, ensuring smooth communication between care staff, clients, and management. The role involves maintaining accurate records, scheduling carers, and assisting with client inquiries in a professional and compassionate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally
Schedule and coordinate carers' appointments with clients, adjusting for changes or emergencies
Maintain up-to-date records of clients and care workers in compliance with data protection laws
Support with recruitment tasks such as arranging interviews and processing documentation
Prepare and file documentation, including care plans, risk assessments, and timesheets
Monitor and order office supplies as needed
Assist with payroll and invoicing support as required
Liaise with social workers, healthcare professionals, and client families as needed
Ensure all activities comply with CQC standards and relevant healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent); NVQ in Business Administration or Health & Social Care is advantageous
Previous experience in a care or office environment is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and care management systems
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Discreet and professional with a strong sense of confidentiality and empathy
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
