Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Myos House, Extra Care Housing for People living with Dementia. Our aim is to ensure that a person can remain at home, feel confident and is safe to live as independently as possible. We work in partnership with other social care and health professionals to prevent care needs from escalating and works to prevent avoidable admissions to hospital and care homes.

Myos House \xe2\x80\x98helps people do things for themselves\xe2\x80\x99 rather than \xe2\x80\x98doing it for them\xe2\x80\x99 through support programmes that enables people to optimise their daily living skills and wellbeing. The role will involve working with individuals and their circle of support to maintain their confidence and continue living well with Dementia - based on their abilities and strengths and those of their family and community.

There are 2 positions available, 16 hours per week and 26 hours 15 minutes per week.

We provide support 24/7, 365 ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable adults living within Myos House. You will need to be solution focused, have the ability to motivate others, have excellent decision making and interpersonal skills and be able to work autonomously in complex situations. You will be required to work a 4 week rolling rota work pattern, which will include 7am \xe2\x80\x93 3pm and 3pm \xe2\x80\x93 11pm shifts.

Post holders will be expected to be flexible in undertaking the duties and responsibilities attached to their post and may be asked to perform other duties, which reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility including direct personal care.
