Bridgend County Borough Council provides a range of care and support services. We are seeking to recruit some great new support staff. If you are a positive, caring person who would like to help people then your skills, knowledge and experience will be welcome.
You will play a vital part within a team, helping people to live as independently as possible in their own homes. We are seeking people with the right values, people who are positive and caring, who are able to contribute and make a difference to people\xe2\x80\x99s lives, who have good communication skills and are able to work as part of a professional multi skilled team.
Our Support at Home service works with many professionals in the community, such as Social Workers, District Nurses, and Occupational Therapists to support people\xe2\x80\x99s choice to live at home. We support people with differing needs that may be a combination of physical, sensory or mental health needs to achieve what matters to them. The service also supports short-term rehabilitation programmes in the community helping people to regain lost skills or learn new ways to maximise their independence.
The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, mainly between the hours of 7.00 am and 11.00pm. As part of a team, your working pattern will include some weekends and bank holidays and you will have advanced notice of your scheduled working and rest days.
Bridgend County Borough Council offers great opportunities for people wishing to work in the Social Care sector and you will be supported to attend training and further develop your knowledge and skills to support a career progression in the sector.
We have a range of contractual hours to offer you in our Support at Home Service; these include contracts based on 16, 20, 25 that will be discussed with you further as you progress through the recruitment process.
