Join us as a High-Yield Credit Trader
- Joining our High-Yield Credit Trading desk, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for making markets in high-yield bonds for clients
- Working closely with Sales, other traders, and desk analysts, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be generating trade ideas and CCI for clients and you\xe2\x80\x99ll manage the risk of the desk in line with objectives and limits

We\xe2\x80\x99ll look to you to make markets for clients in relevant bonds and traded loans. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for your own sectors and work with the other traders and desk analysts to manage risk within the objectives and risk appetite of the business.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll carry out trading activities on authorised NatWest Markets products, and continually build an understanding of the risk run by the desk. You\xe2\x80\x99ll manage your own risk positions within authorised business limits and execute hedging strategies to ensure risk limits are not breached.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- The timely, accurate, and consistent pricing and execution of the desk\xe2\x80\x99s product range in line with NatWest Markets policy
- The daily risk management of the desk\xe2\x80\x99s books using appropriate hedging instruments, the accurate, complete, and timely booking and recording of the desk\xe2\x80\x99s transactions, and the daily review of the activities of the desk and reconciliation of its P&L and risk
- Taking all reasonable steps to ensure your trading activities are in line with our policies covering market, conduct, operational, credit, and regulatory risks
- Contributing towards the overall product area trading strategy and creating innovative trade ideas
- Meeting financial objectives as defined in your performance objectives
We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone with significant experience in a high-yield associate credit trading role and experience with trading credit products in relevant sectors.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll also bring:
- Trusted relationships and a good reputation with clients relevant in the space
- A proven track record delivering P&L and running balance sheets in a risk-taking trading role
- Knowledge of market practices and hedging strategies
