Location: Rushden, Birmingham or Cambridge (Waterbeach) with hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime
Salary: Up to \xc2\xa340k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits

Responsibilities

As Highways Design Engineer, you\xe2\x80\x99ll produce technical designs / documentation and support the Engineers and Lead Engineer in the delivery of highways\xe2\x80\x99 structures feasibility studies, assessments, maintenance and new-build schemes including major projects. You will support the production of cost estimates and programmes, liaising with commercial and construction teams as needed.

Your day to day will include:

• Support the Lead Engineer in the delivery and management of highways design schemes, carrying out calculations and monitoring costs and design programme
• Prepare technical designs, documents and drawings using available software (AutoCAD)
• Undertake site visits and gather background data and respond to technical queries
• Attend meetings with stakeholders and prepare updates

Who are we looking for?

This role of Highways Design Engineer is great for you if you have:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Relevant experience in engineering in the workplace
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Status of a relevant professional institution
