As a Highways Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering successful highways contracts across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. You'll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while fostering excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
xc2xb7Manage multiple highways projects, ensuring delivery meets client expectations and contractual requirements.
xc2xb7Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and budget control.
xc2xb7Monitor and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards across all sites.
xc2xb7Lead and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and support staff.
xc2xb7Conduct contract reviews and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
xc2xb7Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
xc2xb7Identify and manage project risks, providing solutions to potential challenges.
What We're Looking For:
xc2xb7Must have strong experience in highways construction or maintenance projects.
xc2xb7Proven ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
xc2xb7Knowledge of NEC or other relevant contract frameworks.
xc2xb7Excellent leadership and team management skills.
xc2xb7Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
xc2xb7Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
xc2xb7A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential).
