Due to Continued growth the position of Highway Maintenance Operative has become available to join our successful team based in Durham

CHC Highways is a joint venture between Costain and CH2M where they have been entrusted with providing routine and cyclical maintenance work, incident and severe weather response and will be responsible for the maintenance of the depot facilities for Area 14. The depot facilities are at - Bradbury, Kneeton, Carrville and Alnwick.

Role Requirements

• Educated to GCSE level (Maths & English grade C or above desirable)

• Driving a range of vehicles as part of maintenance duties, often for long periods of driving

• To conduct various maintenance works on extremely busy motorway and trunk roads

• To carry out a wide range of works such as minor surfacing and post and sign replacements

• Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive

• Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way

• Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
