What are we looking for?
As an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary team, the Highly Specialist neurosciences Occupational Therapist will assess, treat and manage their own caseload and provide highly specialist neurological occupational therapy skills. This role will report directly to the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist and be part of a highly innovative, evidence based, forward thinking neurosciences therapy team.
This role will provide therapy provision to the neurosciences wards and work within the wider therapy team providing occupational therapy expertise. With support from the Rehabilitation Services Manager and Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist ,this role will develop and progress education and research within occupational therapy. The role will motivate, empower, coach and develop team members through supervision frameworks. The role will have line management responsibility for therapy Caregivers within the occupational therapy team including annual appraisal duties.
