Job Title: HGV Mechanic

Location: Whetstone, Leicester

Salary: \xc2\xa338,000 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa343,000 (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent. Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday.

Truck Doctor has been servicing and repairing a variety of large commercial vehicles for over 10 years in our independent, commercial garage located in Whetstone, Leicester. We pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimal wait time.

About the role:

Due to continual growth, we are now looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our modern workshop and become the newest addition to our positive, hard-working team. The ideal candidate will have three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as an HGV mechanic, with MOT testers preferred. You will not be required to attend roadside call outs or out of garage work.

Responsibilities:

• Repair on large commercial vehicles.
• Ensure customer satisfaction in the service and repair of a range of vehicles.
• Carry out servicing and repairs in a safe and economical manner.
• Test vehicles and diagnose faults as and when required.
• Maintenance on vehicles.
• Ensure Manufacturer and Company compliance with all administration standards and procedures.
• Ensure that all work carried out is to MOT and/or manufacturers\xe2\x80\x99 safety standards.
• Ensure maximum use of technical knowledge and skills to achieve effective, economic and safe service/repair of customers\xe2\x80\x99 vehicles.

Skills Required:

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 Maintenance and Repairs.
• Proven three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role.
• A strong knowledge and understanding of routine servicing and basic mechanical repairs.
• Good communication skills both inhouse and with customers.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a competent, safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork with high attention to detail in a timely manner.
• Proactive and results driven across all aspects of work.
• Full UK Driving License.
