Overview:

As an HGV Driver at NewCold, you will play a crucial role in our operations. We are looking for dedicated drivers able to work up to 12 hours where possible. If you are a skilled HGV Driver looking for a rewarding career, read on!

Tuesday to Saturday - 20:00 to 23:00 start

Monday to Friday - 20:00 to 23:00 start

Friday to Monday - 20:00 to 23:00 start

Friday to Monday - 13:00 to 15:00 start

Days

Friday to Monday - 02:00 to 04:00 start

Friday to Monday - 04:00 to 06:00 start

Friday to Monday - 08:00 to 10:00 start

Sunday to Thursday - 03:00 to 05:00 start

Monday to Friday x2 - 06:00 to 08:00 start

Tuesday to Saturday - 06:00 to 08:00 start

Remuneration:

Hourly rates: Monday to Friday: 15.55, Saturday: 16.79, Sunday and Night Rate 18.06.

Friday to Monday night shift: Potential earnings of 56,347.20 (based on 12-hour shifts) + 70 additional shift bonus for any OT days.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all daily checks are undertaken in line with company standards and legislative requirements reporting any defects correctly.

Complete all necessary paperwork on time and in full.

Ensure all deliveries/collections are loaded correctly at temp and secure before leaving depots.

Partake in pre & debrief process ensuring traffic office appraised of any required info regarding delays or accidents/incidents.

Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner respecting other road users and protecting the reputation of the company.

Ensure safe delivery & collection of goods minimising risk to self, colleague & public by following company processes.

Observe Company rules, procedures, and policies at all times.

Ensure that the work environment -units and trailers-are kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.

Download tacho card in line with company requirements.

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class C + E license.

Driver CPC qualification (or willingness to obtain, with our support)

Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Ability to work a minimum of 12-hour shifts, including nights.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Flexibility to work overtime when needed.

Clean driving record and commitment to safety.
