Hgv Driver Class 2 / Semi Skilled Fitter
Job Description
Due to the ongoing company growth, Thomas Attachments are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated HGV Class 2 Plant Driver with mechanical knowledge to join the team at their Lymm Depot. The role will be primary Class 2 driving work delivering and installing, flow and pressure testing Hydraulic and Non Mechanical Attachments.

You will be responsible for the delivery and collection of Attachments to and from customers, depots, businesses, or home addresses. You will be required to fill out 'check sheets' at drop-off and pick-up, these are used to report any existing or new damages to the vehicles. Thomas Plant are a busy operation and this will be a permanent Position.
For this position, you will need to have a valid Class one licence. You must also have no more than 6 points for minor offences and have held your licence for 2 years or more. Your CPC must be upto date.

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 Rigid HGV Plant Lorry to transport machinery from one location to another
-Fit excavator attachments to excavators and ensure the correct parameters are met for the attachment using a flow meter training will be given.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload Plant/Attachments
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
When no class 2 work is needed you will be required to work in the depot to help the team where possible.
