Hgv Driver Class 2 Category C
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HGV Class 2 Driver (Cat C) to join a well-established company based in Leicester. Meynell Plant Hire, part of the Jelson Holdings Group, are a Leicestershire based business that have been established for 60+ years.
The main purpose of the role will be to drive all Meynell Plant Hire Category C goods vehicles including Sweeper, Skip, Crane Lorry (HIAB) and Box lorry. You will also be required to collect and deliver aggregates and materials to and from quarries, building sites and landfill.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure vehicle is loaded with correct material
Ensure load is secure
Ensure vehicle is not overloaded
Ensure vehicle is roadworthy prior to commencement of daily work
Ensure tachograph rules are followed
Operating within EU drivers hours rules
Operating within the Working Time Directive Rules
Operate within the Highway Code
Driving Sweeper, Skip, and Odds Lorry (Training will be provided)
Delivering goods to Jelson sites
Compliance with health & safety policies, risk assessments & procedures at all times
Carry out additional duties within your skill and competence.
Compliance with GDPR at all times
Relevant Skills and qualifications
Minimum class 2 HGV Licence
HGV CPC Qualification
MPQC driver skills card (formally EPIC)
Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience
Rate of pay 15.50 per hour.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From 15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
