Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. Experience with flatbed lorries is preferred, as you will be handling diverse loads that require careful securing and transport.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed, artic and curtainside lorries to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Secure loads properly using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Assist in loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling of products.

Experience

Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) is essential for this position. Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is highly desirable. Familiarity with lorry operations is an advantage, including knowledge of load securing techniques. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and service.
