Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Truck Driver to join our team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have experience in artic tipper and curtain sider work. They will also be comfortable on a class 2 using a Hiab and carrying out deliveries of our aggregate bagged products. Our business is an independent decorative aggregate supplier to both business and public and a glass recycling centre that offers shot blasting materials to other businesses. This role is quite varied but we are a small friendly team with a great working environment.

Responsibilities

Operate artic tippers/curtain sider and hiab lorries to transport goods to various locations efficiently and safely. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.

Requirements

Valid HGV licence and clean driving record. Hiab crane licence (Not Essential) Up to date CPC Strong understanding of delivery driver responsibilities and safety protocols. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Good communication skills and a professional, positive attitude towards all business daily activities. Willingness to comply with all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.
Hours: 6.30am-4.30pm, Mon-Fri. Saturdays are only required through busy periods.

Holidays 21 days plus Bank Holidays.
