We are looking for a dedicated

HGV Class 1 Driver

As a Transport Driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of our vehicles, while delivering exceptional service to our customers and partners.

What You'll Be Doing

Plan delivery schedules and routes with your manager to ensure smooth operations. Safely load, secure, and unload vehicles to minimise risk of damage. Carry out multi-drop pickups and deliveries efficiently and professionally. Drive safely and economically at all times, adapting routes based on traffic reports. Complete all delivery paperwork, logbooks, and ensure compliance with tachograph and working time regulations. Represent Simpsons SKODA with professionalism and provide outstanding customer service at every stop. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily checks to keep it in top condition. Handle mechanical handling equipment safely and operate moveable beds correctly. Report accidents and vehicle issues promptly, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Valid

Class 1 HGV Licence

Digital Tachograph Card

and

up-to-date CPC

Strong knowledge of driving laws, road safety, and working time regulations Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Experience with multi-drop deliveries and pick-ups A meticulous approach to completing paperwork accurately

Who You'll Work With

You'll collaborate closely with the

PDI Prep Centre Manager

and

Logistics Coordinator

, plus work with our wider team including Technicians, Sales Managers, Service Managers, Parts Advisors, and other key staff across the business.
