We have just opened a brand new site in Doncaster and we are in the process of hiring a whole new pool of HGV Class 1 Drivers to work a variety of routes and shifts across Nights, so if you are local to Doncaster and are interested in joining a very well established family run logistics company then read on....

Role Responsibilities

Predominantly Trunking Work and Occasional Collections/Delivery. Supervising or helping to load and unload goods Making sure loads are safely secured. Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary Completing delivery paperwork and defect reporting. Thorough vehicle checking before each journey. Represents the face of the company You may also deal with basic maintenance, such as water top ups before and after journeys Cleaning of the cab internally and externally (depot facilities available)

Person Requirements

Class 1 licence is mandatory (C+E) Valid CPC and digital tacho card essential Two years Class 1 truck driving experience required, preferably Tramping Less than 6 points on licence preferred (DR10, DD, CD, TT not accepted) Excellent driving skills and road safety knowledge Able to meet the physical demands of the job eg loading/unloading, coupling/uncoupling, operating curtain-siders etc Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business Safety conscious ensuring that personal, vehicle and load safety, and that of others, is a key priority. Polite and customer focused Pass internal driver assessment if one is required
