Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Duties

Operate a lorry for the transportation of goods over various distances. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving. Assist with route planning to optimise delivery efficiency.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E ) is essential. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
