Job Description

We have contract vacancy for an experienced herdsperson to join a family farming operation near Frome in Somerset.

This 400-cow herd of Holsteins are August calving and yielding 8,600 litres on 2 x milking via a 20/40 Swingover De Laval, Herringbone parlour, with a backing gate, in parlour feed, auto- ID, a flush and segregation gate.

Conventional grazing is practiced during the summer and while housed cows get full TMR.

The appointed person will need to be focused on clean milk production, be able to manage the herd day-to-day with AI and foot trimming would be advantageous.
