Job Description


As a Helpdesk Operator / Communication Services Operative at Sodexo in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, You will be the first point of contact, receiving and accurately logging all technical facilities management service requests. With an eye for detail, you will assign the tasks to the relevant Sodexo facilities management teams to complete. The role demands excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a challenging environment. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. This position is for our busy growing communications team built up of five services. Switchboard, Helpdesk, Reception, Telecommunications, and compliance.

What you\'ll do:

  • Operate communication systems, such as telephone, intercom, and two-way radio.
  • Overseeing all telecoms requests, actions and reporting on this monthly
  • Making sure there is adequate telecoms equipment, ordering parts and report faults to our outside contractors.
  • Maintaining and overseeing Helpdesk and telecommunication emails daily
  • Maintaining and overseeing system task closures daily
Training will be given in the first eight weeks on:
  • Helpdesk systems, Switchboard systems and Carparking systems
  • An Understanding of our Contractual requirements - SLA etc.
  • Telecommunication systems and remit
  • Admin Tasks for management support and monthly reporting
  • Changing phones and line checks
  • Maintaining and overseeing Helpdesk and telecommunication emails daily
  • Maintaining and overseeing system task closures daily
What you bring:
  • Use of Outlook and Microsoft office packages
  • Some experience with call handling
  • Experience with a variety of different systems relevant to this role
  • Great communication skills
  • Good practices of spoken and written English
  • Previous experience with in healthcare industry (Not vital)
  • Presentable and approachable

Package Description
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Working: 5 out of 7 - shifts are 7am - 3pm / 12 noon - 8pm / 8pm - 7am or 10pm - 6am. (nightshift is a rolling 4 shifts)
  • Monday - Friday Flat Rate
  • Saturday there are enhancements of 25% and on a Sunday enhancement is 50%
  • \xc2\xa310.64 per hour (\xc2\xa311.47 per hour when on night shift)
  • Working across 3 different services (Reception / Switchboard / Helpdesk)
