Client Description:

Our client is a renowned and market leading specialist civil engineering, drilling, pipeline, and utilities contractor offering in-house technical expertise in a number of specific areas utilising a variety of methods. Our client covers a wide array of service offerings including (but not limited to); high voltage cable installation and jointing, on and offshore pipelines and underground cabling networks, trenchless installation, cable burial for onshore and offshore windfarms, and marine outfall - landfall pipeline construction and renovation.

This position requires an individual with a demonstrable track record of providing practical, hands-on expertise to a wide range of heavy construction plant, rigs or large construction machinery or equipment.

Due to the recent award of several major projects and various ongoing framework contracts, our client now wishes to strengthen their engineering team with the appointment of an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter.

Reporting to the Plant & Fleet Manager, the role will take total responsibility to work on the company\xe2\x80\x99s expansive fleet of rigs, plant, and equipment. You will be carrying out repairs, servicing, and planned, reactive and preventative maintenance amongst other tasks. Candidates with experience of working heavy construction plant and machinery will be ideal. You will also be required to carry out the servicing, inspection, and repair of a fleet of large drilling rigs and associated plant \xe2\x80\x93 machinery that must be kept in a \xe2\x80\x9cfit for purpose and use\xe2\x80\x9d condition at all times. You will be working on pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical and mechanical systems, as such, a good understanding and previous experience in these areas is required. The position will also involve producing, keeping, and maintaining reports, servicing records and other paperwork with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. To carry out this role successfully you will also require a full UK driving licence.
