Based at our 64 acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Health & Safety Interface Manager. This role involves ensuring that the interface management process functions effectively, mainly within Sheffield Forgemaster\'s recapitalisation projects, relating to health & safety in the workplace.
Role Responsibilities
Engaging key internal and external stakeholders ensuring the vision for health and safety is communicated and implemented through the contractor supply chain / change management interface.
Ensuring that projects are compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Providing technical support to key decision makers and influencing the projects to ensure health and safety is at the forefront of decision making particularly at the design phase.
Leading on the implementation of a health and safety procurement framework to drive contractor performance.
Managing and supporting the wider team in the development and delivery of the strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally during the project.
Offer documentation support and on-site advice regarding CDM, Temp Works, and Site Management.
Ensuring that the company Temporary Works procedures and management of change are implemented diligently on-site.
Ensure that the appropriate level of design documentation has been completed.
Report on key KPI data for the project and outline leading and lagging indicators.
About You
Proven experience in a senior health and safety role driving change across large organisations, ideally from a client-side role or as a Principal Contractor.
Solid understanding of the Construction (Design & Management) regulations and experience working with designers to eliminate risk.
Experience coordinating operations and management of change within a project / interface environment.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Behavioural safety and / or Root Cause analysis trained / qualification.
Previous experience working in heavy industry or construction.
Previous experience of coaching, motivating and engaging management and employees with Health and Safety.
Proficient in the use of MS Office.
Previous experience in the implementation of initiatives that have a positive impact on workplace health and safety.
Days/Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week, Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, with flexible start and finish time between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 \xe2\x80\x93 18:00
