The HS&W Manager role will support D-Hive and all its subsidiaries across all sites providing a high level of service in a manner that delivers zero harm.
The role will lead HS&W supporting our people develop a culture of high standards in relation to HS&W ensuring this is a continuously improving process.
The ideal candidate will be IOSH qualified and have experience in improving safety culture in a facilities management company. The role will also work across various other functions including, logistics, warehouse and pharmacy.
Governance:
Creation and updating of policies and procedures required for the Company to operate legally and comply with regulations and governance
Stay up to date with legislation and case law to ensure the Company operates safe and legally
Review good practice and pragmatically apply changes to the Company
Be the owner of SOPs and Risk Assessment process and governance
Work with stakeholders to ensure that all SOPs and Risk Assessments are fit for purpose and in place
Create, lead and review audits for all business functions
Owner of the action plans for completion of audit actions
Work with stakeholders to ensure that actions are completed within the timescales required
Attend and lead HS&W meetings as required, including those with clients and suppliers
Reporting:
Be the lead for any HS&W investigation, supporting the management team in fact-finding and process
Be responsible for reporting and investigating any incidents that are RIDDOR reportable
Create and update a suite of reports to measure HS&W performance across all subsidiaries and locations, including (but not exclusively) Near Misses, Incidents, Root Causes
Create and update reporting packs for board discussion
Create and update reporting packs for operational areas
Training:
Create and deliver relevant HS&W training packages to create a culture of high performance in relation to HS&W (near misses, manual handling, chemical handling, etc.)
Support the development of line managers in the delivery of HS&W practices
Evaluate mandatory and role required training creating a gap analysis and subsequent training suite to fulfil
Identify trends in data and create development activities to prevent further issues aiming for Zero Harm
Well-Being:
Develop the well-being proposition for the Company
Identify good practice and a pragmatic approach to integrate
Collate and interpret data as required
Plan proactive and reactive development packages to support the Company vision
Play a key role in building a team with positive mental health and resilience
Be the lead for well-being communications across the Company
Continuously review and improve our well-being proposition
Site Support - All applicable sites
Identify and deliver site works as required
Be the lead for any works undertaken on our sites
Ensure the all building regulations are up to date and completed - i.e. Fire Safety, Boiler Servicing, Gas Safe Certification, PAT Testing, etc
Ensure that all sites are secure and meet the requirements of company insurance
Provide Forklift cover as required - P1 Pivot Steer Licence to be provided
