My Client, an independent business in the construction industry manufacturing, supplying and installing a range of products to the commercial, industrial and domestic markets are looking to appoint a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager. Their companies work throughout the South-East of England, based across four depots with a combined workforce of over 100 employees

They are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible person to manage HSE for the business, whilst the role is based in Mid Kent you would be expected to visit their other premises, all within 15 Miles, to ensure all sites are periodically assessed and adhere to current legislation. You will also be responsible for employees out on major construction sites and will be expected to attend site in line with client specifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure the business continuously adhere to HSE best practice, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and approved codes of practice.
• Undertaking and reviewing risk assessments and safe systems of work, ensuring they are fully implemented, regularly reviewed, audited and improved upon to minimise risk where reasonably practicable.
• Providing HSE support and advice to all management and employees
• Identifying training needs and managing records, carrying out inductions, training and toolbox talks to ensure delivery of essential HSE skills and behaviours across the organisation.

Skills and Experience required:

You will need to have a good grounding in Construction Health and Safety combined with a proactive approach to your role as everyday will offer a different challenge

Additionally you will need:

• NEBOSH certificate.
• Experience or knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001..
• Self-motivation, excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to work independently within a group structure.
• Full UK Driving license, and willing to travel throughout the region.

This is a Monday-Friday role with no weekend work required.
