An exciting Opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker to join the team at Amman Valley Hospital.This is a 28 bedded unit focusing on rehabilitation of the elderly. The service is both GP and consultant led. Admission are accepted from the community and both general hospitals within Carmarthenshire.The team work alongside community, primary care and the acute sites to develop an integrated rehabilitation approach to promoting patient independence and best outcomes for discharge.Main duties of the jobThe candidate should be able to demonstrate some experience with working with the elderly and understand the principles of rehabilitation nursing.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.Interviews to be held on 11/03/2025.About usHywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.   • Level 2 in care or Ability to undertake a period of Induction and on the job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work related procedures, for example completion of a competency based workbook equivalent to Level 2 vocational qualification
  • Ability to understand and comply with mandatory induction standards and Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers in Wales

  • Level 2 vocational qualification in relevant health care related subject
