Job Overview



As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities



Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming Support mobility, using appropriate equipment or techniques to promote safe movement Provide assistance during mealtimes, including preparing and serving food or helping residents to eat Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any changes in physical or emotional health to senior staff Maintain accurate records of care provided using our documentation systems Provide companionship and emotional support, helping residents feel valued and engaged Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment by performing light housekeeping duties Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures

Essential Qualities & Skills



Compassionate, empathetic, and patient with a strong sense of respect for the elderly Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high-quality care Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development

Qualifications & Experience



Experience in a care environment is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards) A good understanding of safeguarding, manual handling, and infection control practices is beneficial
