Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans effectively, and must drive and have access to a car due to the remote location. This position is vital in delivering high-quality care and enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support patients in following their individual care plans, ensuring all needs are met. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient status. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required. Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Drive to various locations if required for home care visits.

Experience

Previous experience in home care setting is essential. Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes is advantageous. Strong English communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with patients and team members. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
