To join us as a Care Assistant, you don\'t need any previous experience. It may be that you have cared for a vulnerable loved one, or that you are a charitable person that is always looking to help others. That kind of experience gives you the rare skills we are seeking at Home Instead - compassion, understanding and patience. Our service is not merely task driven but focused on wellbeing and meeting our client\'s individual needs
Day to day, you will visit clients in their own home and support them with community activities. This may include attending clubs, lunches, appointments and perhaps doing some shopping. You may help our clients with their personal care including washing and dressing, preparing a hot home cooked meal, and managing medication. You may also assist with light household tasks. But that\'s not why our client\'s eyes will light up when you arrive. That\'ll be because of what you bring to their lives; human connection, reassurance, wellbeing and hopefully some fun!
