Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support residents in following their individual care plans to meet their specific needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Engage residents in social activities and promote a positive environment within the care home or during home visits. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within the living space. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members. Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and communicating effectively.
