Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in care home settings. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and maintain a high standard of care.

Duties

Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities. Help prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements. Monitor and record vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Assist in the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication. Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between locations. A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
