Our ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of health and wellbeing interventions, looking to take the next step in their career with a charity that will support your continued personal and professional development.This position may include evenings, weekends and bank holiday working.Where: WirralFull Time Hours: 37.5 per weekFull Time Salary Range: xc2xa325,077.00 - xc2xa326,502.53 based on experience, pro rata for part time hoursContract Type: Fixed term for 6 months from start dateResponsibilitiesThe post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at the Wirral Ways, to deliver high quality provision by:

  • Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
  • Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
  • Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, Five Ways to Wellbeing, resilience, peer support and self- determination.
Deliver, and support, community health clinics and interventions, includes but not limited to physical and mental health screening following training and competency sign off.To carry out administration work, which could include but is not limited to, report writing, handling money, filing, telephone and computer work.Provide health education especially in regard to harm minimisation, blood borne viruses, overdose prevention and health conditions related to substance use.About you:Understanding of drug and alcohol issues OR health coaching/ conditions and experience of working within a related field.You will have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues or health interventions, engaging people with service and the wider community to support health and wellbeing. * Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others.
