Health and Safety Advisor
Berkshire, Southeast UK (site-based role; 5 days per week)
Salary: Up to xc2xa345,000Irwin and Colton have partnered with an industry-leading facilities management services provider that are looking to bring on-board a new Health and Safety Advisor to support on the safety management for one of their largest FTSE-100 clients, who are linked to diamond development and manufacturing. The role is based at their main site in Berkshire which consists of both corporate offices and research/development labs. The role reports directly to the QHSE Manager, with a dotted line to the Account Director.The role will support the QHSE Manager and act as a point of contact on various aspects of the health and safety agenda within the business. It will also be hands-on, deploying new guidance and advice to the client and supporting the drive on change and new initiatives across the organisation.This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of driving performance in a professional and dynamic working environment.Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

• Engaging with key stakeholders on the site to drive a positive health and safety culture
• Supporting the wider business unit in the development and delivery of health and safety strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety functions
• Supporting the assessment and development of the health and safety, and environmental management systems to ensure that it reflects best practice

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• Proven experience within health and safety; ideally a corporate/FM environment, but could also come from the likes of manufacturing as well
• NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent) and Technical IOSH membership as a minimum
• Good understanding of relevant ISO systems (ISO 14001 and 45001)
