About Hillside Golf Club



Hillside Golf Club is situated in Southport, the home of "Englands Golf Coast" which boasts England's finest stretch of coastal links.

Hillside has hosted many amateur and professional tournaments in it's illustrious history and was recently selected by the DP World Tour to stage the 2022 Cazoo Classic following the hugely successful 2019 British Masters. The R&A have been a regular visitor to the Links with The Amateur and Ladies Amateur Championships being staged here as well as Final Qualifying for The Open on numerous occasions.

Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Server will play a crucial role in overseeing the front-of-house operations, ensuring that guests receive outstanding service while maintaining a harmonious working environment for the staff. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to food safety and quality.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage the serving team to ensure efficient service during busy shifts. Train new staff members on restaurant policies, guest services, and food safety standards. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in the dining area. Assist guests with menu selections, taking orders accurately, and addressing any dietary restrictions or preferences. Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally to ensure customer satisfaction. Monitor dining room activity to optimise service flow and guest experience. Uphold the Golf Club's standards for hospitality, ensuring every guest feels valued.

Requirements



Proven experience in a hospitality environment, preferably in a supervisory role. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations. Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members. Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. A genuine passion for helping others and creating memorable dining experiences.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 10,816.00 per year
