Role

The Head of Vendor Services performs and/or manages the Vendor Services group with a combination of contract, performance, relationship, and risk management roles with marketing vendors. They own and must understand contractual, commercial, and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure that contractual commitments are delivered across marketing department. You will run the systems required to leverage marketing services from various suppliers around the globe. You will be leading a talented team dedicated to building valuable relationships by working with marketing agencies, freelancers, legal, finance and procurement teams.

Your team will be evaluating different agencies, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance. They also manage relationships with different vendors, keep accurate documentation, resolve problems and issues, and streamline these processes. This role requires problem-solving, negotiation, collaboration and creative thinking skills. You and your team will analyse current vendor performance and determine which vendors work in the best interest of the company. You will terminate contracts, when necessary, then research new vendors and establish relationships to ensure a smooth transition. Because you are the primary contact for our vendors, all applicants must have at least 5 years of experience in vendor services, account management or a sales leadership role.

The Daily

- Review current vendors and analyse if they meet current company needs
- Cancel contracts with vendors that are no longer needed
- Research and establish relationships with new vendors when necessary
- Organize and track all documentation between the company and vendors
- Resolve vendor disputes or issues quickly and efficiently
- Building and contributing to the optimisation of the systems needed to onboard, manage and off-ramp from a complex vendor eco-system
- Assess, manage and mitigate risk associated with the vendor eco-system
- Regular reporting and communication on project status and vendor performance

The Essentials

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- 5+ years of experience in vendor services, account management or a sales leadership role
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work collaboratively with multiple departments
- Must be able to lead and develop a high-trust, high-performance team
