NHS Supply Chain operates a national supply chain for medical devices and clinical consumables, operating a high level of service and range of delivery options through expert partners. This is along with the ambitious and critical role in supporting the delivery of the NHS net zero commitment in 2045 and social value ambitions.

The Opportunity
In this role you will lead the supply chain planning function via the logistics service provider to ensure excellent service to our customers is maintained through effective operational and strategic planning. You will report directly to Alex Elberg, Executive Supply Chain Director.
The strategic element of the role is to develop appropriate and effective systems and processes for supply and demand planning. In addition, the role is accountable for supporting the development of efficient network planning.
The operational scope covers all aspects of S&OP and inventory management, including the strategy for product stock holding levels to meet defined KPIs. The scope covers planning of inventory requirements from suppliers to meet inventory targets and service levels of stocked items and providing suppliers of non-stocked items visibility of SCCL requirements. This covers all aspects of supply planning, including day-to-day management of the logistics service provider, maintaining inventory levels and product supply to meet minimum of agreed KPI levels, and delivering on or inside agreed budgets.
