As a Head of Supply Chain, you will lead a team of specialists to develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategies that optimize costs, enhance supplier quality, and improve reliability. Additionally, you will drive competitive value services within Project Procurement and Strategic Sourcing functions.
What will you do?
Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):Strategic Leadership - Develop and lead strategy, objectives and targets for a specific functional area in alignment with Linxon strategy. Drives the end-to-end service provision (design through delivery), influences and consults with senior management across Hubs/Global functions to innovatively shape the design and development of own functional area. Ensures effective and efficient implementation of SCM strategy activities throughout the organization by increasing the SCM competence.
Strategy Implementation - Contribute to the definition, implementation, and execution of Country SCM strategy, covering areas such as Strategic Sourcing, Indirect Materials & Services, Transport, Trade & Logistics, Process & Excellence, Finance, Risk Management, Supply Base Management & Quality, Sustainability, and SCM systems.
Performance Targets - Determines annual SCM KPIs, aligns targets with Hub & Global SCM targets and monitors performance.
Spend Management - Manages and develops equipment strategies, implements targets and standards/processes to improve costs and maximize spend value.
Process Excellence - Leads the development and oversees implementation of SCM processes in the UK, continuously benchmarking against peer companies and world-class performers.
Special Projects - Leads special projects with long term global SCM strategy focus, aligned with Country, Hub and Global SCM strategy.
Training & Development - Provide training to ensure the on-going development of SCM competencies and skills in the business.
Compliance - Governs Linxon Global SCM standards on health and safety, sustainability, business ethics, environmental regulations and Level of Authority. Implements and maintains the related Global SCM instructions and procedures.
People Leadership - Ensure a collaborative and supportive environment by developing a well-organized and skilled team. Guide and motivate team members within HR policies, fostering growth and development for both Linxon and its employees. Promote open communication and teamwork to enhance collective performance. Oversee succession planning for key SCM positions, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity. Coordinate talent management processes regionally with Hub and Global functions, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and shared goals.
Experience Required:Extensive years of experience in Power Sector - Transmission & Distribution business.
Vast experience in Tendering for Extra High Voltage Substations.
Extensive experience in Projects Procurement Management & Strategic Sourcing roles.
Experienced in handling Category Management and proficient in timely finalizing Main orders for the Substation Main Equipment. Selection of the right pool of Strategic Subcontracted Services partners by applying the right fit strategies.
Possess strong technical knowledge in power transmission and distribution technologies, proposing optimized technical solutions in view of the cost saving strategy.
As part of a Global company, extensive international experience and knowledge of various utilities, standards and specifications.
Analytical leadership with an independent and solution-oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skill.
Previous experience in a multicultural environment and high degree of inter-cultural sensitivity help you lead and motivate team by influence.
Extensive experience in commercial negotiations.
Supporting Supply chain resource development within the team based in the UK and favouring the effective utilization of the Supply chain resources based in the Global Engineering & Technology Services (GETS) office in India.
Competencies/ Skills Required:Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
As a SCM professional working in a highly projectized environment, A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI is a plus.
Self-disciplined, able to work autonomously with a high degree of initiative and with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Experience in a result driven environment and problem solving and analytical skills.
Professional Presentation skills.
Demonstrate high level of people development and leadership skills.
