The Team
The Student Wellbeing, Disability and Inclusion Service provides student support via several routes, via two teams: Disability and Inclusion and Wellbeing, responsible for delivery of excellent support services to students.
The post-holder will lead partnership work across the city and be the senior owner for several key priorities facing the University.
The role
The post-holder will lead a data-informed, progressive, professional service providing responsive support to our evolving student community. Alongside leadership across the University, a central component of our work is progressing the Student Support Champion for Higher Education: . Other critical projects include implementation of work to progress achievement of the Mental Health Charter Award.
Required skills and experience
We are seeking a strategic leader with experience of managing services. The successful candidate will have experience of bringing about positive change and have exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence, inspire and motivate others.
They will have clinical training and excellent communication skills. The post-holder will have experience of responding quickly, calmly and appropriately to a fast paced environment with high levels of risk and complexity.
