Our established \'Warrington Together\' partnership continues to mature and it\'s a great time to get involved in Safeguarding and Quality, working across health, social care, the commissioned provider market and our vibrant voluntary community and faith sector to improve outcome. Led by our Warrington Adult Safeguarding Board, we have an ambitious programme of work in place, crucially ensuring our workforce and partners across our town are equipped to raise and respond to Safeguarding concerns effectively, with personalisation being the cornerstone of our approach.
We work with several partners including our 32-borough council commissioned care homes where 1,659 people live in homes that are rated \'good\' or \'outstanding\' by the Care Quality Commission, similar to the national average. Around 1,030 people are supported to live at home through a council commissioned 11,800 hours of care, quality of provision whilst mainly \'good or outstanding\' in Warrington is 73%, lower than the national average. Co-working within adult social care and with our partners including access to specialist health, learning and physical disability provision is central to our approach for both quality and safeguarding seeking to enable people live healthier and happier lives free from harm.
The opportunity has arisen for a permanent appointment to this crucial role within our broader Adult Social Care leadership team Reporting jointly to the Associate Director for Integrated Care and the Strategic Lead for Commissioning and accountable to the Director of Adult Social Care, you will lead and co-ordinate teams, systems and procedures within Warrington Borough Council to sustain and improve the quality of commissioned services, protecting and promoting people\'s right to live an independent life, in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
Responsibilities of the role are made up of Safeguarding including the Warrington Adult Safeguarding Partnerships Manager, Quality Assurance including Complaints, Domestic Abuse services, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Best Interest and Mental Capacity Assessors, all delivered by a blend of highly skilled professional and non-registered colleagues working together as broader team providing high quality care and support to our residents.
Main duties of the job
You will be a core member of our Warrington Safeguarding Adults Board, working with partners to continue our journey of supporting and enabling front line teams to be more effective in keeping those who are at risk free from harm, ensuring processes are easy to understand and consistently applied. Within adult social care you will support quality in commissioned services and in the broader sense supporting the transformation of social care underpinned by emerging data-driven, co-produced and strengths-based approaches to care and support.
You will work with commissioned services, embedding quality assurance into the fabric of how we work, ensuring our services are set up to succeed in delivering the best outcome for our residents. Leading a range of inter-dependent programme workstreams, you will have the opportunity to build on current service offers as well as developing new ways of working that both improve outcomes and deliver best value for each pound each resident entrusts us to spend.
We are looking for a values driven, contextually aware and dynamic leader to join our established leadership team working together aiming to support people to live well and safely in our community. You will have current significant senior experience of cross sector working, leading, and managing services and influencing across organisations. Proficient in leading people to deliver high quality, inter-disciplinary you will have a track record of delivering value-added interventions that materially impact on outcomes for people. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, ensuring the continued engagement and commitment of staff, colleagues, and partners alike.

The presentation is open to you to deliver in the medium of your choice and should be around 10 minutes in length. The topic is \'Bring to life how you see quality and safeguarding working in a high performing adult social care offer-what are the key cultural indicators, behaviours and products you will see and how will you be assured that these work for the people we serve?\' people we serve?\'
DBS clearance is required.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
