Business partner for significant School(s) within Faculty/Directorate providing operational and strategic support on all financial matters
Responsible for managing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes alongside analysis of performance to assist budget holders

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidates will have:
A proven ability to lead, manage, develop and motivate a professional team
Significant relevant experience in a senior financial leadership role in a large, complex, devolved organisation
Significant experience of working in an accounts preparation role with strong analytical skills and delivering an exceptional customer service to stakeholders
Experience of supporting senior leaders in strategic planning
Experience of preparing and evaluating business appraisals
Experience of successfully managing change in a large organisation
Excellent financial analysis and interpretive skills, with ability to grasp the detail, whilst retaining the \'big picture\'
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior colleagues (both academic and PS) at all levels, including those without financial expertise
Proven ability to challenge the status quo, make positive, effective changes and obtain results against a background of a challenging change programme
A demonstrable commitment to the mission and values of The University of Manchester and an understanding of the transformational impact of education.
Candidates will also have a recognised accountancy qualification
