Job Description

As our Head of Road Safety and Traffic Control you will lead a team responsible for the strategic forward planning of road works and other planned interventions on Liverpool\'s highway network. Working in partnership with senior internal and external stakeholders, ensure the impacts of all activities are proposed, assessed and that appropriate mitigations are provided to minimise delays and disruption on the Highway network.

You will also take a pro-active approach to road safety, leading on the implementation of best practice, using the latest research and evaluation of results to ensure that a range of evidence-led solutions are implemented, outcome-focused with reference to performance indicators and road safety targets.

This is a demanding but very rewarding role in a fast-paced environment, suited to someone with experience of leading and developing change management with an in-depth knowledge of traffic management and road safety and strong communication skills gained within a collaborative environment.
