Job Description


As the Head of Procurement, the role will play a vital part in driving supply chain efficiency, supplier relationship management, and cost optimisation while upholding the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy for materials that aligns with the company\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives. Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that provide the best value proposition in terms of quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favourable agreements while managing potential risks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure an efficient and seamless supply chain. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance inventory management.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service levels. Monitor market trends, economic factors, and industry dynamics to proactively adjust procurement strategies as needed.
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, including cost savings achieved, supplier performance metrics, and market insights. Utilise data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement best practices, process enhancements, and tools that streamline procurement operations.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to develop procurement budgets, track spending, and provide accurate forecasts. Manage procurement activities within allocated budgets and identify opportunities for cost containment.
  • Encourage and foster innovation in the procurement process, exploring new technologies and approaches to enhance efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to explore innovative packaging solutions that enhance product protection, reduce waste, and align with sustainability goals.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay connected with peers, suppliers, and industry experts, fostering valuable relationships and insights.
YOUR SKILLS:
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and proficiency in contract management, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and conditions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in leading teams.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis tools to extract actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
