HOURS: Full TimeAbout this opportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join our Leverage Finance & Project Finance team. You\'ll be accountable for coordination, underwriting and best efforts distribution activity for Lloyds Bank\'s Leveraged Finance and Project Finance globally.You\'ll provide leadership, direction, and support to a team of Syndicate specialists ensuring the Leveraged & Project Finance and broader Syndicate & Sales budgets are delivered.Your accountabilities will include:

  • Lead and coach the Leverage Finance & Project Finance Syndicate Team to deliver objectives.
  • Partner Origination & Coverage teams on client pitches to win coordination, underwriting and best efforts mandates. Support Product & Sector teams in executing transactions. Lead successful syndication/sell down of any underwritten financings or coordination mandates.
  • Support Origination teams in structuring and completing Bridges \xe2\x80\x93 including assessing deliverability of take out.
  • Partner with Loan Sales and Credit Sales to engage market participants \xe2\x80\x93 to maintain and grow distribution channels, to enable successful underwriting and coordination strategies.
  • Manage market risk of underwritten transactions, provides input into the development of compliance policies, develops underlying procedures and monitors their implementation for area of responsibility within the organisation.
  • Lead the development and delivery of budget plans.
  • Proactively engage in portfolio reviews and driving origination activity.
  • Support Strategic Debt Finance and Infrastructure & Project Finance Origination teams in managing strategic sponsor and corporate client relationships, increasing share of mind, and driving revenue opportunities.
  • Be a great partner with the sector teams and other internal partners including the wider Syndicate Teams, Loan Sales, LBCM, Risk and Client Products.

  • Senior UK syndicate role experience in either Leveraged Loans, Project Finance and High Yield Bonds \xe2\x80\x93 track record in both asset classes an advantage. Appetite and energy to develop deep capability in new asset classes. US and EU experience a benefit as we seek to grow our franchises in these geographies.
  • Strong relationships and credibility with a broad range of borrowers (sponsors & corporates); advisors and peer institutions
  • Able to evidence deep relationships with market participants across banks and institutional investor firms
  • Technical expertise in Leveraged Loan, High Yield Bond and Project Finance products and structures. Experienced in underwrites, bridges, coordination roles and other distribution strategies. Track record of successful market risk distribution \xe2\x80\x93 across all asset classes an advantage.
  • Outstanding understanding of credit and financial analysis and their application in transaction structuring
