The Head of IT Security role is an integral part of the firm\'s enterprise focus on technology risk. This position is the senior role within IT, owning the IT Security budget, setting (and subsequent delivery of) technology roadmaps and management of a high-performing team. Reporting into the Director of IT, and working alongside BDO\xe2\x80\x99s governance, architectural, data and operational technology teams, the position requires a blend of technical, commercial and collaborative skills to set the strategic vision for the IT function and is key in supporting the wider goals of the Information Security Committee.

This role is seen as a driver for change at BDO. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating difficult messages to the IT and wider BDO leadership and will have the ability to build rapport and persuade critical stakeholders for future investments into the IT Security function.

The role will require strong leadership and requires someone who is comfortable with holding themselves and others to account. BDO is looking for an individual who is happy and skilled in working cross-collaboratively with a diverse range of teams and functions, across a wide spectrum of disciplines. The ideal candidate will also need to be commercially astute and proficient with a leading a team of 5+ engineers.

• Proven Cybersecurity Leadership experience
• Team Management experience
• Experience of managing teams of 5+ staff
• Stakeholder Communication experience
• Executive communication with partners, CFO\xe2\x80\x99s, CIO\xe2\x80\x99s etc.
• Budgeting experience
• Previous experience of managing \xc2\xa32m+ budget
• Strategic Planning & Execution experience
• Previous experience of delivering programmatic change
• Broad knowledge across the Cybersecurity Landscape, including, but not limited to SASE/SSE, CASB, RBI, ZTNA, M365 E5 Security, Azure / AWS, CSPM, WAF/DDOS/Azure Security, Vulnerability Management, Tenable, Nessus, Qualys, Communications Security, O365, Mimecast/Proofpoint, Endpoint Security, Defender ATP, Carbon Black, Crowdstrike etc.
