The Head of International provides leadership in all dimensions of university international activity. This includes the nurturing and management of the international recruitment team, the full recruitment life cycle through market prioritisation, acquisition strategies, management of channels, delivery of enquiry and conversion activity, marketing, efficient admissions and support for international mobility.
The position is responsible for developing and implementing international recruitment and associated marketing strategies, evaluating effectiveness of the strategies and ensuring appropriate market diversification, and for developing and driving the University international student recruitment planning process with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Head of Partnerships, the role will establish a robust integrated strategy for international recruitment and establish good working practices with Academic departments, central services, agent networks and partners. The role is expected to manage resources effectively and efficiently, and with a view to maintain and enhance quality in our service levels and provision. The University has achieved significant recent international student growth, and the post holder will further diversify sustainable recruitment practices.
The successful applicant will have substantial experience in UK university international recruitment and have a detailed and in-depth understanding of UKVI compliance matters. They will possess in-depth knowledge of international higher education and will possess excellent cultural awareness, ambassadorial, organisational, team-working and communication skills. A willingness to work flexibly and engage in travel will be required.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this role.
