Job Description

Role Purpose:The Head of Growth Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy to strengthen MAUK's position as a global leader in financial inclusion. This role will focus on increasing membership, developing partnerships, launching new products and services, and driving revenue growth.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial inclusion, microfinance, and capacity-building programs, coupled with experience in strategic planning, business development, and stakeholder engagement.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Growth and Business Development

• Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy to increase MAUK's membership base, service offerings, and revenue streams.
• Identify new market opportunities in the financial inclusion space, including digital finance, green finance, and agriculture value chains.
• Drive the creation of new products and services tailored to the needs of microfinance institutions, regulators, and financial professionals.
• Develop strategic partnerships with universities, training institutions, government agencies, and private sector players.

2. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, financial institutions, and academic partners.
• Represent MAUK at conferences, workshops, and events to promote its vision and

5. Financial Planning and Reporting

• Develop and manage the budget for growth
• Monitor and report on the performance of growth strategies, providing regular updates to the Executive Director and Board.
• Ensure that all growth initiatives align with MAUK's financial sustainability

Qualifications and Experience Essential:

• Proven experience in a senior strategy, business development, or growth-focused role within the financial services or non-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial inclusion, microfinance, and related fields such as digital finance, agriculture finance, or SME
• Experience in building partnerships with universities, financial institutions, government bodies, and development agencies.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior- level

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working in a membership-based
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks in the financial services
• Experience in developing e-learning or digital training
• Familiarity with international development and donor-funded
