Head of Finance
Our client is a growing privately owned business in the education sector, with a team of almost 100 staff. Due to sustained growth, the business now needs to recruit a newly created role of Head of Finance. The role is wide ranging and will involve:
- Financial Management: Manage the day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Budget Control: Develop and maintain budgets, monitor performance against budgets, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to formulate financial strategies and long-term financial plans.
- Accounting: Oversee current accounting function and the team of two people, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Xero Expertise: Utilise Xero and other financial software to streamline processes and maintain accurate financial records.
- External Partnerships: Liaise with external accountants, tax advisors, and other financial consultants as necessary.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
- High level administration: ensure safe keeping of all documentations, contracts, and company related matters.
